Rockford hosts many historical sites within the town limits as well as within the county limits. Many are on the National Historic Register. Fred the Dog, was inducted into the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association Animal Hall of Fame in 2004.
Events
All year long, Rockford hosts a variety of events. Some of the events are as follows, Easter Egg Hunt, Spring Fest, Trick or Treat on Main Street and in the park, Veteran's Day Ceremony, and our annual Christmas Market and Parade. These events are fun for the entire family!!!
Hatchett Creek & Weogufka Creek
People come far and wide to enjoy our beautiful Hatchett and Weogufka Creek here in Coosa County. Hatchett Creek has 35 miles of waterway where Weogufka Creek has 26 miles to enjoy. Primitive camping can be found along the way thanks to the Alabama Scenic River Trail organization.
Trails
Right down the road from Rockford, you'll find Coosa County host the southern terminus of the Alabama Pinhoti Trail, Flagg Mountain and the Coosa Trail. The Magnolia Trail is multi-use and is located right in the Town of Rockford
